Valuing the quiet achievers in the community
The Lions Club of Park Orchards Inc. believe that there a lot of members of our local community who contribute tirelessly for the benefit of the community. These individuals add value to the everyday lives of people in the local area. They are the glue that binds the community together.
Many of you will have worthy suggestions of noble contributors to the greater good of our Park Orchards and surrounds community who go on happily though not being acknowledged for their contributions.
It’s not an award for the greatest sportsman/best achiever/runner up etc who have already been acknowledged by their clubs or associations. Our view is that there are many of these unacknowledged individuals amongst us that the wider community would take delight in knowing about.
The Lions club calls on members of the community to nominate someone who is (or has been) a key contributor towards our way of life.
Ideally the nominee will be a volunteer and they will have been a consistent contributor during the course of the current calendar year or over an extended period of time in the years prior.
