Lexus Blackburn Charity Golf Day

The Lions Clubs of Forest Hill and Park Orchards jointly facilitate a fund raising golf day in support of Macular Degeneration. The event initiated by Forest Hill Lions in 2007 in memory of Roth Gair, in 2017 is celebrating 10 years of successful golf days raising invaluable support for sight related disease.

The organising committee is pleased to acknowledge the support of  a new event sponsor LEXUS of BLACKBURN. We thank the Lexus dealership for the event sponsorship. We also acknowledge and thank all other sponsors for their generous support for the 2017 Golf Day.

Macular Degeneration (MD) is the name given to a group of degenerative diseases of the retina that cause progressive, painless loss of central vision, affecting the ability to see fine detail, drive, read and recognise faces.

Although there is no cure for MD, there are treatment options that can slow down its progression, depending on the stage and type of the disease (wet, dry, and other forms). The earlier the disease is detected, the more vision you are likely to retain.

2017 Golf Day

The Lexus Blackburn Charity Golf Day. Roth Gair Shield is on again on Sunday 5th February 2017 at the Rosebud Country Club.

This year, the event will run a separate Womens’ competition on a separate 18 holes if we have enough players.

A  new gourmet BBQ following the golf has been planned for this year’s event, so you won’t be disappointed.

This is a great event and always been very well supported by both Lions Clubs.
